Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Pharminsight (operated by Mumbai Biocluster) collects, why, and how it is protected. Pharminsight runs on servers operated by Mumbai Biocluster; your data is not sold and is not shared with advertisers.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Profile details you choose to add: designation, organization, bio and LinkedIn link, shown with your published articles.
- Content you submit: manuscripts, images, files, reviews and comments, together with the editorial history of each submission.
- Sign-in records: when you log in, we record a session with the time, your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep you signed in.
- Email: we email you one-time codes to verify your address and to reset your password (the code is stored only in hashed form and expires after 10 minutes), plus notifications about submissions you are involved in.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
How we use information
- to run your account and the editorial workflow (submission, review, copy editing, publication);
- to show author names and affiliations on published articles;
- to control access: whitepaper PDFs can only be viewed or downloaded by signed-in users;
- to protect the service from abuse (for example, limiting repeated login attempts).
Who can see your information
Published articles and the author details attached to them are public. Draft and in-review submissions are visible only to the author and the editors, reviewers and administrators assigned to them. Reviewer identity follows the setting chosen for each submission. Platform administrators can access account records to operate the service.
Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on our own servers. Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access is restricted by role. We keep account and submission records for as long as your account is active or as needed for the editorial record, and expired sign-in sessions are removed automatically. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by contacting us. Some editorial records of published work may need to be retained for the integrity of the publication record.
Children
Pharminsight is intended for professionals and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
