Conflict of Interest and Disclosure Policy

Purpose

Pharminsight is committed to transparency, integrity, and trust. Readers should be able to evaluate published content with a clear understanding of any relationships or interests that may influence an author's perspective.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not automatically disqualify a contribution. However, relevant interests must be disclosed.

Author Disclosure Requirements

Authors must disclose any relationships, affiliations, financial interests, or professional engagements that could reasonably be perceived to influence the content of their submission. Examples include:

  • Employment by a company discussed in the article
  • Consulting or advisory roles
  • Equity ownership or stock holdings
  • Patent ownership or licensing interests
  • Sponsored research or grants
  • Board memberships
  • Paid speaking engagements

Reviewer and Editor Disclosures

Editors and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts related to:

  • Financial interests
  • Direct competitors
  • Active collaborations
  • Personal relationships
  • Intellectual property interests

Individuals with significant conflicts may be recused from editorial decisions.

Disclosure Statement

A disclosure statement may be published with the article where appropriate. For example: “The author serves as a scientific advisor to XYZ Biotherapeutics.” or “The author declares no conflicts of interest related to this article.”

Failure to Disclose

Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in:

  • Requests for correction
  • Publication of an editorial note
  • Withdrawal of content
  • Restriction of future submissions

Commitment to Transparency

Pharminsight recognizes that valuable expertise often comes from active industry participation. Transparency, rather than exclusion, is the foundation of this policy.
